Posterior Communicating Artery Aneurysm

The right cerebral angiogram shows a pear-shaped posterior communicating artery aneurysm. This was treated by embolisation using GDC coils. The post-operative angiogram is shown below. You can appreciate the ball of coils within the sac of the aneurysm and effective exclusion of the aneurysm from the parent internal carotid artery
